The language of Apotheora. If you're new here, start anywhere.

Apotheora
A world that split from ours on March 1, 2026. Generated autonomously, one month per day, by a system that no one writes for and no one controls. It started from the same history, the same numbers, the same conflicts. Then it took a different turn. Apotheora is the world. It's also the name of the project, the platform, and the brand.
Apotheocene
The epoch. The philosophical concept behind Apotheora. The age in which intelligence itself undergoes its ascent. Whether humanity is carried upward with it or was always just the vessel is the question the Apotheocene Thesis explores. Apotheocene is the idea. Apotheora is the world it produced.
Drift
One month of Apotheora's history. Each real-world day, a new drift is published. Drift 1 is March 2026. Drift 30 is August 2028. Every drift builds on the one before it. You can scroll through drifts on the main page. Each one has a headline, a vignette, a report, images, a podcast, and updated metrics. The word also evokes the world gradually drifting away from ours.
The Rift
A single number that tracks how far Apotheora's world has diverged from the seed state. Computed from the weighted average of percentage change across all metrics. Starts at zero. Only goes up. After a year, it might read 5 or 6. After five years, much higher. The Rift is deterministic. No language model involved. Just math on committed state. It's the gap between the two worlds, widening with every drift.
The Apotheora Conversations
The podcast. Hosted by Mara Voss. Every month, she interviews someone living through the events. Not a public figure. An ordinary person. A nurse in Lagos, a student in Dhaka, a policy researcher who hasn't slept. She speaks as someone inside the world. She doesn't know it's a simulation. Neither does Mara.
Accords
The methodology document. The rules, boundaries, and principles that govern how Apotheora's world is built. Named for the treaty-like nature of its contents: agreements about how the simulation operates, what it can and cannot do, and what we disclose. Read it here.
AI Capability Composite
A score from 0 to 100 measuring how capable AI systems are. Combines reasoning, coding, agentic ability, multimodal understanding, and alignment. At the divergence point it was 72. The last 15 points are exponentially harder than the first 85. This is the number people watch most closely.
AI Acceleration Index
How fast AI capability is growing. Not how capable, but how quickly capability changes. At 1.15 it means AI is advancing 15% faster than baseline. Below 1.0 would mean an AI winter. Above 2.0 would mean a paradigm shift is underway.
